CIOERT Partners
CIOERT is sponsored by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Office of Ocean Exploration and Research (part of NOAA's growing network of Cooperative Institutes), and headquartered at the Harbor Branch at Florida Atlantic University in Fort Pierce, Fla. The University of North Carolina Wilmington is the co-managing partner. The managing partners are responsible for and cost-share Task I administration activities, they provide leadership and support for innovation, exploration, research, technology development, and transition to applications under Tasks II and III. In addition to the managing partners, CIOERT partners include:
- Limited partners, SRI International in St. Petersburg, Fla., and the University of Miami provide key capacities and leverage for the life of the CI;
- Collaborators are project-based partners or investigators for technology development, operations, and science; and
- NOAA affiliates collaborate with CIOERT to identify, prioritize, and conduct science and technology developments that address NOAA needs.
